Some people may think that everything new in this world is worth buying. I beg to differ. In Apple’s case, they offer a new operating system for free! For all you geeks out there, a Flynn OS reference might make one chortle. I seriously think that more computer companies should run the same game plan.
Except for Microsoft of course. Every single OS they churn out seems to have more problems than the last. They’re honestly not worth getting. I cannot understand why Microsoft has come up with a “gentler” way to say your computer is fried. Instead of the BSOD(Blue Screen Of Death)
they NOW have, as I like to call it, the blue frowny face of misery.
Usability fail for Microsoft.
To be honest though, Microsoft has the monopoly on Computer Games, they sell good quality computers that will last for a while if you take care of them, and they’ve got a wide customer appeal area, I guess they’re not all bad.
Even Apple has some flaws. For one, their computers are ridiculously expensive for the average college student. I only have one by the grace of God.
The main point that some people don’t thoroughly grasp between Mac and PC is viruses. Now some people argue that “Macs are UN-HACKABLE”. That point is invalid. Any computer can be hacked with the right know-how. Think about this for a second. Which operating system is better at collaborating spreadsheets of company finance and word documents that contain plans for the future for that company? PC. That’s why big business use that OS and that’s why hackers go after PC computers more.
ANY computer can have a virus planted on it. It just so happens that big business use PC for their baseline OS. That’s what lures hackers in.
So honestly, this whole “Mac vs PC” debate really must end. There’s no point to it! The only reason that PC’s get viruses is that Microsoft sells them in bulk to big businesses more than Apple does.
Never thought of some of these points before and I’ve been involved in this debate for years! Very interesting! 🙂
